Recollected Patterns

RECOLLECTED PATTERNS

OVERVIEW
Recollected Patterns is an extension of the original Collected Patterns series and explores plants cultivated in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens during founding curator, Walter Hill’s service from 1855-1881.

The series includes the original black and white letterpress prints, giclée prints and machine-embroideries, as well as new work in colour, and shows how botanical designs—full of history and stories—can sit equally well within the context of art and interiors.
