Coffea Arabica is said to produce better coffee with less caffeine than other major commercially grown coffee species. It was one of a number of crops of economic value trialled in the colonies and our early botanists had the hard job of cultivating export quantities. It was grown in Queensland, but never became a major export crop. Digitally printed on Hahnemühle 100% Cotton Rag Paper with Epson long-life pigment inks by Brisbane’s most esteemed archival printer, this print is truly gallery quality. The Cabbage Palm is found in moist open forest, often in swampy sites and on margins of rainforests or near the sea. Botanist, Walter Hill, spent considerable time cultivating native and foreign Palms and Cycads in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, growing a small plantation of them adjacent to the Garden's Aviary.
