Collected Patterns 3

$330.00

This exquisite textile work is one of three botanical patterns in the Collected Patterns Embroidery series.

In the late 1800s, the women of Brisbane frequented the Botanic Gardens, finding constant inspiration for their floral embroideries. The giant ‘Elephant Ear’ shaped leaf of the decorative Caladium, which was grown in the Gardens, became the perfect motif for these intimate, formal and highly structured studies in pattern.

Machine embroidered on 100% pure white linen using a rich black mercerised yarn, this embroidery is one of a very limited edition of only five impressions and is extremely collectible.

Each embroidery is signed, numbered and titled on the back of the archival mount before framing in a pristine white frame. It’s the perfect addition to any art collection and styles beautifully in vignettes. Also included, are details about the embroidery, the series it’s part of and confirmation of the edition number purchased.

The embroidery arrives framed as pictured.
